Overview of the new policies developed by players

Greece, 18/07/2011

There is a need of EU legislation for the use of Stem cells in research. In addition, if there is not yet a Ethical committee to take care of research in this field, it would be important to have it. This ethical committee should be formed by an external committee, in the same way that certain research institutions ar evaluated (EMBL in Heidelberg is one example). Finally, these kind of studies will as well give place to Biobanks. From our point of view, Biobanks should also have legislation at the EU level, and should be centralised.
